TASPO, the Tanzania Student Plan Organization, is a non-governmental organisation working with schools in Tanzania to improve the conditions students learn in and the skills they learn with.
Why TASPO exists
TASPO was founded in [YEAR] by [FOUNDER NAME(S)] out of a simple observation: Tanzanian students are ambitious and capable, yet too many are held back by the basics, such as dusty classrooms, too little equipment and few chances to learn how to organise their own studies.
We started with what was right in front of us: the classroom itself. Today our work covers healthier classroom equipment, student planning tools and clubs that give students room to grow beyond the timetable.
We work closely with head teachers, teachers and local authorities in Tanzania, and with partners and donors across Europe who help make it all possible.
